Rooms, Suites and Roof Suites

Introducing 22 new suites at The Dorchester by interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud.  Staying true to the hotel’s classic English residential style, the new suites fuse contemporary comfort with the timeless glamour and heritage associated with this world-renowned property. Commenting on the project, Alexandra Champalimaud, President and Principal Designer of Champalimaud, said: “I have always been fascinated by the way the English live in their homes and wanted to capture that certain quirkiness found in beautiful English properties, whilst building on the history and quintessentially British nature of The Dorchester.”

The Dorchester offers rooms of exceptional grace and comfort, all providing views over Hyde Park or the hotel’s landscaped terraces. The suites range in size from the Junior and Stanhope Suites to the generous Dorchester Suites and the famous Oliver Messel Suite. Bathrooms are welcoming and spacious, offering an exceptional combination of style and function, and are said to have the deepest baths in London. They are predominantly made in Italian marble and designed in the classic art deco style - echoing the hotel’s 1930s origins.

Known collectively as the ‘roof suites’, the Audley, Terrace and Harlequin are discretely reminiscent of the Hollywood glamour long associated with the hotel. The design of these suites emulates the style in which The Dorchester was originally built in the 1930’s while remaining fresh, modern and luxurious. All three roof suites have large outside terraces, which enjoy unrivalled views over London and a team of dedicated butlers on hand to take care of guests’ every wish.
